To ensure a flawless integration between the glass and granite surfaces, we collaborated closely with both the general contractor and the granite contractor. This teamwork allowed us to achieve an almost seamless transition, where the two materials meet in a way that feels natural and cohesive. The precise alignment and attention to detail in the installation process highlight the craftsmanship and dedication involved in bringing this project to life.
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the functionality of the glass top was also carefully considered. The decision to use 1-½" thick glass not only provides durability and strength but also enhances the feeling of openness and lightness in the space, counteracting the potential heaviness of the granite. Additionally, we incorporated LED edge lighting along the backside of the glass, which illuminates the surface with a soft, ambient glow. This feature not only accentuates the texture and transparency of the glass but also serves as a practical nightlight, offering a gentle illumination in the evenings.
